The brief

Ormiston Cove is a boutique residential development featuring 24 oversized apartments, positioned moments from Raby Bay. With a focus on retirees, downsizers, and investors aged 40+, the project required a refined brand identity that captured the ease and elegance of bayside living. The brief called for a name and visual style that conveyed spaciousness, tranquility, and timeless appeal — resonating with a mature audience without leaning into tired retirement clichés. The identity needed to reflect the development’s high-quality offering, classic architectural features, and connection to its serene coastal setting.


The solution

To bring the brand to life, we crafted a refined wordmark that captures the nature of Ormiston Cove. Elegant and understated, the letterforms feature subtle curves that echo the calm coastal atmosphere while maintaining a clean, high-quality finish suited to the target demographic.

Supporting the wordmark, we developed a secondary marque—a stylised emblem inspired by the development’s bayside setting. Featuring a curved 'cove' shape, a soaring seabird, and a soft wave motif, the marque evokes a sense of space, freedom, and tranquility, reinforcing the lifestyle appeal and spacious design of the apartments. Together, these elements form a cohesive visual identity that balances classic elegance with contemporary sophistication.
